Men's Summer Lacrosse 2011

The men's league will be playing in the StL Men's Lacrosse league.  We will have practice one day a week and play games against 5 other teams in the St Louis area.

Spring Sign ups for Styx Grades 3-8

It's that time of year again to start thinking about the Styx Lacrosse club! 

 

If you are interested and would like to sign up for a team, please attend the signups and evaluations on Saturday, February 11th (3rd-6th grades) or Sunday, February 12th (7th-8th grades) at Moye School.

 

3rd/4th Grade: February 11, 12:00-2:00 PM

5th/6th Grade: February 11, 2:00-4:00 PM

7th/8th Grade: February 12, 2:00-4:00 PMThis club is open to both residents and non-residents and previous lacrosse experience is not necessary.

 

It is free to attend signups and evaluations! If you can not attend your age/time slot, please attend another.

 

The cost for the season will be $200.00   Uniforms will be included in that price.  If your uniform from last year still fits, we will prorate the price.  Membership to US Lacrosse will also be required.  The cost is $25.00 and can be done at www.uslacrosse.org 

 

If you need to rent equipment the cost is $100.00 at equipment check out time with $50.00 returned at the end of the season when the equipment is returned. 

 

This club will play in the SLYLA lacrosse league at the Maryland Heights Sportport on Sundays during April and May.  Each team will play 2 games on each Sunday for a total of 12 games.

 

Practices will be two days during the week with an occasional Saturday practice.

 

The SLYLA league is adding a 1/2 grade boys team this year.  If there is enough interest we will add a team at this level also.

Session 2: Wednesdays – Jan 4 to Feb 15 (7 Weeks)

Time: 4-5:15 pm

Coach: David Boots and assistants

Cost: $100.00 per session

Skills and Scrimmages

Equipment Requirements:

Girls – goggles, girls lacrosse stick, and mouth guard.

Boys – Helmet, stick, cup, gloves, arm and shoulder pads and mouth guard.

 

Each player must also bring a reversible assigned to them the first week. If you do not bring gear you may not play.

 

Gear may be rented from O’Fallon Styx. Please call Tamara to make arrangements and for costs.
